Last Minute Christmas Gift Ideas: Bookish Items

last minute christmas gift guide

Oh my goodness everyone, Christmas is only a few days away! Can you believe it?! The pressure is on to make sure everyone on your list is crossed off. I made it easy by gender and age to narrow down some ideas!

I have tried to include most items that are found in the store, as most online stores have already cut off delivery for Christmas. There are some Amazon items but please be aware that they might not arrive until after Christmas. I know if you have a Amazon warehouse nearby you might get it delivered on Christmas eve!

Did you know Target has some adorable mugs like the one above for usually under $5? Yep, they would make the perfect gift! The pink one above is in stores! Add some coffee to the mug for the cutest and most thoughtful little gift.

Starbucks also has some great gifts in their local stores for under $20. I have seen a pack of their holiday coffee's in a gift set. I also have seen lots of coffee mugs and other little gifts perfect for gift giving.

Joyful Devotion is a monthly Christian subscription box. They always include a book of some sort so it makes the best gift! Just be aware that most subscription boxes, if you choose to gift, the first box won't be shipped out until next month.

A blanket is a reader's best friend. They make the experience just 10x cozier! Blankets are the easiest gifts!

Men

Men who love to be organized and stylish will love this printable calendar. I mean look how gorgeous the one above is?! I actually want it for myself- ha. ^_^ Find it over at - Etsy

The Comic picture above is the Comic Mystery Box. Men who love to read comics will love this one!

Most men just want a nice simple design when it comes to their electronic cases. You can still find some e-reader cases in stores such as Barnes & Noble, Target, and Best Buy. And of course, pens always make a great last minute gift!

Kids

I remember as a kid I loved holding a teddy bear while my parents read to me. This one is by Vermont Teddy Bear and you can find it at, Amazon. But any teddy bear would work perfectly!

Bookroo is monthly children's book subscription. I think this would make the cutest gift!

Target sells the above kid's tent/fort. How neat would it be to give this to a child who wants to have their own private reading space?! Limited in stores- so hurry! And of course, you could always do a DIY tent!

For all ages/genders:

  • Gift card or membership to Barnes & Noble
  • Gift card to Amazon
  • Gift card to Lifeway Christian Stores
  • Cash for books (this is great for those that love rare bookstores, local bookstores, etc.)
  • Gift card to a movie theatre (so we can see the book-movie adaptation!)

Whew, you made it through! I hope that helped figure out what to give to those people that you still have to cross off your list. Good luck on the last minute shopping!
