Five Recommended Authors of Christian Fantasy

christian sci-fi fantasy fiction authors

In High School, I read Chronicles of Narnia. During that time I had no idea the connection with Christianity. I absolutely loved the storyline, the characters, and the beautiful land of Narnia.

Sci-Fi/Fantasy Christian Fiction is not often heard of or well advertised in the book community. It is one of those rare but interesting sub-genres.  Christian Sci-Fi/Fantasy fiction have Christian elements woven into imaginative and futuristic storylines. It is one sub-genre that I need to read more of!

I think it's also one of those more fun genres. Much like Chronicles of Narnia. I always suggest people who are new to Christian fiction and enjoyed this genre before, to start here. It's a great way to ease into Christian fiction.

There are many great authors to choose from in this sub-genre. I also figured out how to make a gallery with the ability to link out to Amazon if you wish to purchase. Yay for figuring something out technical! ^_^ Just click on the cover!

Here is a list of 5 recommended authors:

Bill Myers

Bill Myers actually never intended to be an author. Which is interesting because during his writing career he has sold over 8 million copies. He also didn't get into writing till much later into life after his filmmaking career. His work has won over 60 national and international awards including the C.S. Lewis Honor Award. Bill is also the author of McGee and Me, a well-known television show.

Recommended Books:

Thomas Locke

Thomas is an award-winning author and has sold over 7 million copies. He is well known for his high fantasy Christian fiction. What I like about Thomas is that lives in Florida but also has a second home in England. I also love the U.K. and hope to have a home there one day! He also travels extensively, which is always an inspiration!

Recommended Books:

Patrick W Carr

Patrick writes more on the side of fantasy. Not only an author but he has worked at a nuclear plant, designer for the airforce, and worked at a printing company. He is currently a teacher in Nashville, TN. I always have admired Patrick's book covers. I like that they don't look like typical Christian novels. This is great for those getting into the genre! Paul is also very interactive with his fans on social media which is always appreciative to see!

Recommended Books:

Jill Williamson

Jill is new in the author scene. Jill is such a sweet and funny lady. She is very lively and friendly on her social media accounts which is so nice to see! She is the author of the best selling series, King Folly. She also has her own blog on her website! I love it when I see authors be active on a blog while writing their novels. It gives us bloggers hope that we can publish books too!

Recommended Books:

Donita K Paul

Donita is a retired school teacher. Now she is a best selling author. She also has a beautiful testimony on her website that you must read! I absolutely love Donita's book covers too! I always love fantasy creatures on a book cover. It jsut makes it so intirguing and unique!
