Today I am revealing my Bible collection for 2018. I think I will be doing this every year to show which Bibles I have added to my collection and what I think of them. I may or may not buy another Bible by the end of the year, but I will make sure to include it in next years post if I do.
I am very selective over which Bible’s I will purchase. I don’t just buy any Bible. I want to make sure that I, one will actually read that version, and two find it useful for nurturing my faith, and lastly does that version interest me.
NIV Women’s Devotional Bible
This is the first Bible that I purchased a few years ago. I purchased this Bible because my neighbors invited me to church a few times but I never followed through afterwards. Looking back I think I am grateful for my neighbors for doing this, because this planted a seed for coming back to the LORD later on. I use this Bible primarily for traveling because it’s compact and small.
About The Bible:

NIV Beautiful Word Bible
I purchased this Bible last Christmas, as a gift to myself. I absolutely enjoy using this Bible. Mostly for being creative. Who else loves to color?!
About The Bible:
With hundreds of inspiring verses illustrated in detailed, ready-to-color line art, the NIV Beautiful Word™ Coloring Bible employs the proven stress-relieving benefits of adult coloring to help quiet your soul so you can reflect on the precious truths of Scripture. Perfect for all ages, the thick white paper with lightly ruled lines in the extra-wide margins, provides ample space for your own artistic expressions and journaling.
ESV Archaeology Study Bible
When I heard that this Bible was coming out, I had to purchase it. I actually even pre-ordered it! If you’re a new reader or didn’t know, I studied Archaeology in College. So naturally, I had to add this Bible to my collection. I primarily use this Bible for learning more about Biblical history. You can read my review —-> HERE.
About The Bible
The ESV Archaeology Study Bible roots the biblical text in its historical and cultural context, offering readers a framework for better understanding the people, places, and events recorded in Scripture. With editorial oversight from Dr. John Currid (PhD, University of Chicago) and Dr. David Chapman (PhD, University of Cambridge), as well as contributions from a team of field-trained archaeologists, the Archaeology Study Bible assembles a range of modern scholarship―pairing the biblical text with over 2,000 study notes, 400 full-color photographs, 200 maps and diagrams, 200 sidebars, 15 articles, and 4 timelines. These features bring life to the ancient texts, helping readers situate them in their historical context while recognizing the truth that the eternal God became flesh entered human history at a specific time and in a specific place.
CSB The Study Bible For Women
I was sent this Bible to review by the publisher so I didn’t know too much about it before hand. However, after reading the promotional materials and flipping through the Bible, I knew I was going to enjoy reading it! I don’t use it as often as I would like, but I find the translation easy to read and understand. You can read my full review —-> HERE

NIV Charles F Stanley Life Principles Bible
This is the first Bible I purchased when I renewed my faith in Christ. So this Bible holds a special place in my heart. I have read it a dozen times and I have highlighted it like crazy. This is the Bible I read most of the time. I really like this one because there are footnotes explaining each verse and how it can relate to your life. This really helped me in the beginning and it still does!
About The Bible:
During his many years of ministry, Dr. Charles Stanley has faithfully highlighted the 30 Life Principles that have guided him and helped him to grow in his knowledge, service, and love of God. In this study Bible you will explore each of these principles in depth and learn how to make them a part of your everyday life. You will also find answers to life questions, practical life examples, passage introductions, passages for study and reflection, and key truths for discussion, prayer, and Christian living. Featuring the easy-to-read NIV translation, this Bible will help you grow in your relationship to God and equip you for the future God has planned for you.
NIV Cultural Backgrounds Study Bible
I purchased this Bible earlier this year. It’s been on my wish list for so long. Like the Archaeology Bible, this one attracted my eye because I love learning about the culture and history of Biblical times. So far I am really enjoying this translation. I find this Bible beautiful to read as well with its colored pictures, maps, and the pages that are lined with gold foil.
About The Bible:
You’ve heard many Bible stories hundreds of times, but how many behind-the-scenes details are you missing? Sometimes a little context is all you need to discover the rich meaning behind the stories of Scripture.
That’s what the NIV Cultural Backgrounds Study Bible provides. Every page is packed with expert insight into the customs, culture, and literature of Bible times. These fascinating explanations will serve to clarify your study of the Scriptures, reinforcing your confidence and bringing difficult passages of Scripture into sharp focus.
Discover new dimensions of insight to even the most familiar Bible passages as you take a behind-the-scenes tour into the ancient world.
The Bible was originally written to an ancient people removed from us by thousands of years and thousands of miles. The Scriptures include subtle culturally based nuances, undertones, and references to ancient events, literature and customs that were intuitively understood by those who first heard the Scriptures read. For us to hear the Scriptures as they did, we need a window into their world.
The NIV Cultural Backgrounds Study Bible, with notes from Dr. John H. Walton (Wheaton College) in the Old Testament and Dr. Craig S. Keener (Asbury Theological Seminary) in the New Testament, brings to life the ancient world of Scripture for modern readers.
